The health benefits of Bee Pollen

Bee Pollen is a superfood & nutritional supplement, made by honeybees to feed young bees. It contains beneficial nutrients including enzymes, vitamins, minerals, protein & natural sugars. It is also one of the ingredients in Shakti’s Superfood Blend.

According to Food Matters, consuming Bee Pollen has amazing health benefits including assistance with allergies, the digestive system, your skin, immune boosting, cardiovascular assistance and more. You can read their full article here. On the flip side, Web MD say scientists cannot confirm it has any health benefits which you can read here. I’m sure the manufacturers of Bee Pollen haven’t had the funds or research grants to confirm the claims made in the Food Matters article, but from where I’m sitting, it’s a good quality nutritious whole food, which is exactly what we should be eating.

Bee Pollen is only harvested twice a year, and right now, at the time of writing this article, Loving Earth are completely out of stock. We have sourced a second supply, the Wescobee Wild Harvest Bee Pollen, to tide us over between now and December when we anticipate getting stock back from Loving Earth. Both products can be found in the superfoods category of our health food section along with other nutrient dense wholefoods such as coconut oil, cacao powder, goji berries & chia seeds.

ALLERGY WARNING – it is worth noting that some individuals have allergic reactions to bee pollen, and care should be taken when taking this for the first time.
