At Shop Naturally, we simply don’t sell high end appliances without road testing them first. In the case of both the Vitamix blender and the Kuvings Juicer, they both have a permanent place in my home.
The standard juice I make at home is one for health. It has a variety of colours and some great ingredients for a gentle ‘food only’ detox.
With a normal juicer, the ingredients above would require a few minutes of prep work before going in to the blender, but this simply isn’t the case with the Kuvings Whole Fruit Juicer. Here’s my standard list of ingredients for my nutrient burst juice and the prep I needed to do before putting them through the juicer.
By comparison, putting all this through a cold press juicer with a small chute would require me to dice up ALL the ingredients before juicing, which is time consuming.
What sets the Kuvings cold press juicer apart is the density of the final product and the juice to pulp ratio (pictured above). You can see the rich colour of the juice from top to bottom and while there’s a little froth at the top and a little settling at the bottom, there is absolutely no clear liquid separation that you see with many juicers on the market. This juice had been sitting for at least 10 minutes before the photo was taken.
PULP TO JUICE RATIO – in the picture above, both containers are virtually the same size/volume (there’s a really small difference in the shape but it’s negligible) and as you can see for yourself, there’s not a lot of wasted pulp after the juicing process. While the initial purchase of the juicer may be more expensive, when you’re using organic produce, you’ll very quickly break even by getting a higher yield of juice from your fruit & vegetables.
