Coconut Magic health benefits summary

One of the reasons we chose Coconut Magic as our premium coconut oil at Shop Naturally is because the business owner, Jenni Madison, visits the point of manufacture and we were able to get a lot more information about how it’s produced than we have for any other brand. Not only is Coconut Magic packed in amber jars so the light doesn’t start destroying nutrients, they only use coconuts that have matured for 12 months and the way the oil is extracted gives one of the cleanest tasting coconut oils on the market. I spent close to an hour on the phone with Jenni before deciding to add this brand to our store. It is a fair bit dearer than other brands, but like most things in life, quality costs extra.

Jenni has written a great, simple & easy to read article on the health benefits of coconut oil. Here’s a really brief outline of the points Jenni has brought up.

  • boosts energy levels
  • coconut oil doesn’t oxidise when it’s heated
  • increases your metabolism so it helps you to lose weight
  • has antiviral, antifungal & antibacterial properties from the MFCA’s (medium chain fatty acids) present in the oil
  • multi-use natural skin care product, or in the case of this one, certified organic, (natural body moisturiser, natural hair treatment, organic facial cleanser and more)
  • reduce sugar cravings
  • supports a healthy thyroid
